What we do

Kent Conservation & Restoration takes pride in restoring historic buildings to their former richness and original condition, but will also create new buildings to an exceedingly high standard.

Working in traditional materials such as lime, oak, stone and terracotta to name but a few, the company prides itself on using time-honoured, artisan techniques. However, it also embraces the benefits of modern technology to help research timelines and chronology in the identification of materials to match the original fabric of a building precisely and to source them from known and reputable suppliers.

The team works for private individuals, and is experienced in all aspects of project management - but it also works alongside architects, clients' own project managers and local authorities and as a specialist sub-contractor for other building companies on large conservation projects of note.

KCR has worked on many heritage sites and ongoing conservation and restoration projects (see portfolio for examples of work undertaken) - all of which bear testimony to the tireless effort and outstanding skills of this company whose sole intent is to achieve the highest standards of excellence.

The company's ethos is "The preservation of the past for the future".
