Lime plastering and render

The plaster craftsmen at Kent Conservation and Restoration have generations of experience to their name in the specialist area of internal lime plastering and external lime rendering. In conservation projects, the work will always begin with a professional in-depth analysis to ascertain the provenance and make-up of the original material. This makes the task of matching not just colour but also texture much easier - and ensures compatibility with the original fabric of the building. The ongoing work will depend on the task.

KCR can handle anything from re-securing existing historic lime plaster sections, simple patch repairs and crack-pointing right through to peeling back sometimes hundreds of years of layers to reveal rotten laths, replacing them, rebuilding the bulk and then reapplying new coats of plaster and finish including fine porcelain topping where appropriate
